Sunshine Ace Hardware customers donated $33,000 in March to help aid the American Red Cross’ relief efforts in war-torn Ukraine.
Throughout the month, Sunshine Ace customers at stores across Southwest Florida were able to round up their purchases at the cash register to support the ongoing humanitarian crisis in Ukraine.
The American Red Cross is supporting efforts to provide lifesaving aid to those in need, both in Ukraine and neighboring countries. Relief efforts include distribution of food, water and supplies, as well as providing shelter and medical assistance.
“Sunshine Ace has long maintained a culture of caring among its employees and customers,” said Michael Wynn, president of Sunshine Ace Hardware. “As a company and as a community, we need to help those in times of need, and it’s heartwarming to see such a tremendous amount of support globally for the people of Ukraine.”
Sunshine Ace’s primary charity partner is the Children’s Miracle Network, but the locally owned company also supports first responders, youth service organizations and numerous other charitable causes. In 2021, Sunshine Ace donated a shipment of YETI coolers to help medical professionals distribute COVID-19 vaccines to remote regions across Haiti.
“In times of need, Sunshine Ace will continue to shine brightly, not only in our local community, but also in communities around the world,” Wynn said.
